I’M HELEN AND THIS IS MY STORY.

I am so passionate about seeing you become a powerful communicator and a woman who thrives. I am an Influence coach and have the privilege to coach leaders and professionals in high stress/high demand industries. I help these leaders

hone their executive presence,
elevating their influence and leadership
develop better relationships with their teams, management and clients.

I am also a professional speaker and leadership trainer. I have been a speaker for New York University, Financial Women’s Association, PWC, 100 Women in Finance, Viacom, UBS, BNP, White & Case and Bank of America to name a few.

But that is not where my story starts.

Here is the truth. I wasn’t always comfortable in my skin.

Even though I am an extrovert, being a salesperson in financial services (my first career – before coaching) was originally a struggle for me. I was typically the only woman in a room or at a dinner table and I was acutely aware that I was somehow stifling my own voice.

I often think back and recognize that I actually needed a Women Who Thrive coaching program in my life.

My story took a turn for the better when I lost my job at Lehman Brothers 3 months before the infamous financial crisis. I started my new job at Royal Bank of Scotland and 10 days later Lehman Brothers went bankrupt. The markets were in turmoil and my brand new role was about to be obsolete. I found myself in a department that was on the brink of disaster. My colleagues and manager sat around in fear of getting laid off.

But somehow in those moments, I found my voice, I got braver, gutsy and I started to thrive. I called former clients of mine and I helped them find opportunities to solve their problems, within a few weeks I was producing 75-90% of the revenue for my WHOLE department and frankly keeping the rest of the department employed. It was energizing, it was fun, I had found my voice.

I learned a lot from that experience, from the 6 years of building a sales business at RBS and from the past 7 years of building a coaching business. And this I know for sure – it all comes down to my ability to influence, have a strong presence and be a powerful communicator that knows how to connect with people.
